Drop the song. Your browser takes 30 seconds from the middle, where the vocals and full band usually are. The rest of the file never leaves your device.
A detector listens to it
The clip goes to Sightengine's AI music model, trained on songs from Suno, Udio and other generators next to music made by people. It reads the sound itself, not the file's tags.
You get a score and what it means
A 0–100 AI score, a plain verdict and the reasons it can be wrong. The same clip checked again is free.

How accurate is it?
It's good at clear-cut cases and less sure about the rest. Songs straight out of Suno or Udio usually score high, and most human recordings score low. It gets shakier with heavy auto-tune and production, remixes, songs that mix AI vocals with a real band, and generators newer than the model. That's why you get a score and a verdict with the reasons it can be wrong, not a yes or no.
Can I use the result to prove a song is AI?
No. It's one signal, not evidence. If it matters, look for more: does the artist have a real history, live shows, interviews, social accounts older than last month? Has the label or platform said anything? A high score is a good reason to dig, not a reason to accuse someone.
Why only 30 seconds?
A detector doesn't need the whole song to hear how it was made, and checking every second would make each check several times more expensive. We take the middle because that's where the full arrangement and vocals usually are. If a song changes a lot, check another part by trimming it first.
Does it work on songs from Spotify, YouTube or TikTok?
It needs an audio file, and streaming apps don't hand you one. If you have the track another way (a Bandcamp download, a file someone sent you, your own export), drop that in. Recording a song off your speakers or heavy compression can push the score around, so use the cleanest copy you have.
Do you keep my music?
No. Only the 30-second clip leaves your browser. We send it to Sightengine to run the check and don't store it. We keep a fingerprint of the clip and its score so the same clip isn't charged twice.
What does a check cost?
Your first check is free when you sign in. After that, packs start at $2.99 for 10 checks. Nothing renews, and checks stay valid for a year. If a check fails on our side, you get the check back.
Who handles payments?
Our merchant of record processes the card, deals with sales tax and VAT, and sends your receipt. Is This Song AI never sees your full card number. Unused packs can be refunded within 14 days; the details are on the refund page.
